FrameReady is designed to keep personal photos and saved artwork collections under the user's control. The app uses Apple platform services and avoids developer-operated storage for personal photo content.
On-device photo processing
Photos selected from the user's iPhone photo library are processed on device. FrameReady does not upload personal photos to a FrameReady server for resizing, cropping, matting, or export.
Apple-managed storage
Saved artwork and collection records sync through the user's private iCloud account using Apple CloudKit. Access to that data is governed by the user's Apple ID and iCloud settings.
Permissions
- Photo Library access is used to let users choose photos and save finished TV-ready JPEG exports.
- Camera access is used for live room preview and wall photos when previewing artwork in a user's space.
Network use
FrameReady can send search terms and artwork requests to open museum and public art providers to retrieve artwork results and images. The app does not use third-party advertising tracking.
No custom account backend
FrameReady does not operate a separate FrameReady account system or custom backend for personal collections.
